White Label Reporting: Your Agency's Name on Client Pages
Your client hired you. They call you, they pay you, and they shouldn't have to learn the name of your software to say yes to a post. That's most of what an agency wants from white label reporting: when the work reaches the client, it reads as yours.
In GoMimic, you type your agency's name once and it follows the work out the door. Further down, we also say where our own name can still show.
Where Your Name Shows, by Plan
Your agency's name goes on everything built for a client to read, on both plans. The Agency plan adds your logo beside it.
| What the client sees | Pro | Agency |
|---|---|---|
| The review page | Your name | Your name and logo |
| The progress page | Your name | Your name and logo |
| Their copy of the approval record | Your name | Your name and logo |
| A printed round | Your name | Your name and logo |
| The Client Report PDF | Your name | Your name and logo |
| The Approval Certificate | Your name | Your name and logo |
| Round emails and the review code email | Your name, and replies come to you | Your name and logo, from your own domain if you add one |
| Reminders | Not on Pro | Your name and logo, from your own domain if you add one |
The browser tab reads your agency's name too. A review link pasted into Slack or WhatsApp shows a plain Content Review preview.
Setting Your Name and Logo
It's a short job, and it belongs to the Owner. Everyone else on your team sees the result.
- Open your agency's Settings. Branding is in there, for the Owner.
- Type the name as your clients know you, up to 100 characters. If they call you Northfield, leave off the "Creative Group LLC."
- On Agency, add a logo: a PNG, JPG, or SVG of up to 2MB.
- Look at it the way a client would. Create a progress page link for one client and open it. It's read-only, so looking changes nothing.
Do this first. With no name typed, the review and progress pages name no agency at all, and we won't guess one for them. Emails do need a sender's name, so until you type yours they use one taken from your sign-up email's domain, which may not be what your clients call you.
The Report Goes Out in Your Name
The report is the part of white label reporting a client keeps, and often passes to someone who's never met you. The Client Report PDF is one file of what you made for that client, in your agency's name, and nothing in it names GoMimic. It's on both plans.
Once something's approved, the Owner or an Editor presses Download Client Report on that client's Results tab, then picks the dates: all time, last week, one day, or a range. A search page appears only where Search Console is connected, and that comes with Agency.
The report says what was made and approved. It doesn't say why the work matters to their year, and a page of it won't save a renewal on its own. In our view, it's worth a short note from whoever runs the account, sent with the file. The Weekly Summary Email page has an example of that note.
Who the Email Says It's From
On every plan, client email carries your agency's name, and replies go to you. It comes from a shared address, with a line saying it was sent on behalf of your agency. It never carries a "sent through" line naming us.
On the Agency plan, your own domain changes the address to something like reviews@northfield.co, and the on-behalf-of line goes. The Owner picks the address in Settings under Client Emails, copies the DNS records to wherever your domain is managed, and waits for it to read Verified. Then send a Test Email to see it land.
If a record ever goes missing, client emails go back to the shared address until it's fixed, you're told, and no email is lost. The same happens if you leave Agency: the emails keep your name on the shared address.
Your Client's Side and Yours
The line runs between what your client reads and what your team reads. Everything on your side comes from GoMimic and goes only to your people, and that's the side a client should never have to see.
A page in your name is only half of it. The posts on it still have to sound like your client, and that's the job of the voice you keep for each client. For how the pieces connect from creating to delivering, see what a content distribution system does for an agency.
Where Our Name Can Still Show
We'd rather you heard this from us than from a client.
- The web address. Review links and progress page links are on gomimic.ai, and your client can read that in the address bar.
- The shared sending address. Until you add your own domain on Agency, it's on gomimic.ai too.
So your clients deal with you, and that's what they see. It doesn't mean nobody can ever find out what you use, so don't promise that. If a client's contract asks which tools your agency uses, answer it plainly. In our view, a client who asks is usually fine with the answer, and white label was never meant to be a secret you keep from them.
What Your Team Still Reads For
- The name you typed is the name they get. Read it once as a client would, spelling and all, because it goes on every page.
- Comments marked For the client. They appear on the review page in your agency's name, so write them the way you'd write an email. Internal notes never show.
- What's on the progress page. It's read-only, and it names nobody at your agency. A client who wants a person should have your email from you.
- Your logo at a small size. It sits at the head of pages, files, and emails, so choose the version that still reads there.
Fixing What Looks Wrong
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| A page names no agency | The Owner types your name in Settings |
| An email has an odd sender's name | That's a name taken from your sign-up email. Type yours in Settings |
| No logo on the page | Logos come with Agency. On Pro, your typed name shows |
| The report has no name on it | Type the name, then download the report again |
| The report has no search page | Search Console reports come with Agency, once it's connected |
| A client asks if an email is really from you | Tell them to expect it, or add your own domain on Agency |
| Emails went back to the shared address | A DNS record went missing. Check Settings, Client Emails |
Questions People Ask
What is white label reporting for an agency?+
It's a report your client receives under your agency's name, with your software in the background. In GoMimic, that's the Client Report PDF, along with the review and progress pages around it.
Is our name on client pages on the Pro plan?+
Yes. Your typed name is on the same pages and files on Pro and Agency. The logo comes with Agency.
Can a client tell that we use GoMimic?+
The pages, the report, and the emails show your agency and don't name us. The web address of a review link is on gomimic.ai, so a client who looks can see it.
Can the review page run on our own domain?+
The pages stay on gomimic.ai. Your own domain is for client email, on the Agency plan.
Who can change the agency name?+
The Owner, in your agency's Settings. It changes wherever the name is read, so the next page a client opens shows the new one.
What happens to our logo if we leave the Agency plan?+
The logo comes off, your typed name stays, and client emails go back to the shared address with your name on them.
