Why It Sounds Like Them. Why the Yes Holds.

Nine things happen between your source and your client's yes.

What GoMimic Does Differently

GoMimic counts a writing habit only once it keeps turning up in a client’s writing, so one unusual post can’t bend that client’s voice.

GoMimic keeps the client’s Things Never to Say and the agency’s Stock Phrases out of new pieces, and changes only the sentence holding a phrase, so an editor doesn’t open a draft full of them.

GoMimic writes only from the material an agency gives it. A figure the source doesn’t hold is taken out before you read the draft, and your team still reads every one.

In GoMimic, a client approves by link with no login, nothing approves itself, and a link nobody answers expires, so silence never becomes a yes.

1

It Starts From Real Material

GoMimic does not begin from a keyword or a blank box. Every piece is written from something a person already said or wrote, and only from that.

Six ways inA post, a brief, a draft, a conversation, a recording, or their blog

Paste a published post by link or as text. Write from a brief, with your own angle. Rewrite a draft while keeping its headings, lists, and figures. Bring a call transcript and say who spoke. Bring a recording. Or connect the client’s blog so new posts become drafts on their own.

6 Ways In  From a Published Post  From a Conversation  From Their Blog

The fact ruleWrites only from what it is given

Every path carries the same rule: use only the facts, figures, names, quotes, dates, and claims in the material for this piece. Nothing is brought in from outside to make a sentence sound stronger.

2

The Voice Is Learned, and It Has to Be Confirmed

A voice here is a list of habits you can read, each with the writing it came from. One post is never enough to change it.

What We’ve Learned

  • Opens on the problem, never on the company 3 pieces
  • Short sentences 3 pieces
  • Closes on a question seen twice, it waits
The ruleA habit counts once it keeps turning up

Add a client’s writing and GoMimic notes the habits that keep turning up: how they open, how long their sentences run, what they call the people they sell to, how they close. A habit is confirmed once it’s more than a one-off. It is listed under What We’ve Learned with the posts it was seen in and an example.

A Voice Learned From Real Writing

Approved workPosts the client approves teach too, but only once you press Keep

What approved posts show is listed apart, as Learned From Approved Work. New writing uses a habit from there only after you press Keep. Kept habits never fade. Removed habits are never learned again.

A new clientCreate works from the first day

With nothing to read, posts use a plain, neutral voice, and only what you write down counts. A new voice shows Writing With Today and What Would Help Most. Every step is optional.

Several voicesThe company, the founder, a named writer

Each voice has its own habits, rules, and examples. Business Facts and formats are shared by all of them. Create asks which voice for any client with more than one. Pro holds 3 for a client, Agency 8. A post filed under the wrong voice can move, and what it taught moves with it.

Several Voices per Client

ConversationsLearning is off to start

Tick Learn only for someone who speaks for this client. Their spoken words count for less than writing they published.

Their websiteSuggestions, never rules

Their website gives suggestions you can Add or Skip, each with the sentence it came from. Nothing from it is a rule until you save it.

Bringing it inA style guide, a GPT, a Claude Project, or a Gemini Gem

Upload a style guide and only the rules it states are pulled out, for you to tick. Bring In reads the files you have already built up elsewhere, up to 20 of 10 MB.

Try it firstA sample that teaches nothing

Type a topic, pick a format, and read a short sample in the voice as it stands, unsaved rule changes included. Nothing is saved, and a sample never teaches the voice.

Test This Voice

The scoreA reading of the material, never a grade

The Mimic Voice Score says how much of a voice can be seen in what you gave. It is not a grade for your writer.

3

You Say How They Sound

You have known this client for years. So your rules sit beside what was learned, and the two are never mixed up.

Sentence Length: Short
Contractions: Always
Point of View: We
Em Dashes: Never
Numbers: Digits
In your wordsHow This Client Sounds, up to 600 characters

A sentence or two, written by you, carried into every piece for that voice.

The Agency’s Own Rules

Plain choicesEleven of them, and new pieces follow them

Sentence Length, Rhythm, Paragraphs, Contractions, Point of View, Headings, Heading Style, Lists, Bold, Em Dashes, and Numbers. New pieces follow what you choose.

ListsUse, Avoid, Never Sounds Like, Never Start With, More Rules

Up to 25 entries each. Avoid stays out of every new piece. Never Start With guides how a piece opens.

ExamplesSounds Like Us and Doesn’t Sound Like Us

Up to 10 pieces that sound right and 5 that don’t, so you can show as well as tell.

4

What It Must Never Say Stays Out

Telling a writer not to use a phrase is not the same as making sure. These lists hold on every new piece.

In today’s fast-paced landscape

caught before your editor opens it

Things Never to SayKept out, per client

Put a phrase in quotes in that client’s box and it stays out of new pieces, with the sentences around it exactly as they were. Anything unquoted stays guidance for the writer.

Things Never to Say

Stock PhrasesYour agency’s list, across every client

Delve, tapestry, and the rest are on it from the start. The Owner edits it in Settings: up to 100 phrases, 60 characters each. Any left in are gone before your editor opens the piece.

How it matchesWhole words, any case

"cheap" leaves "cheaper" alone, and "competitor" also catches "competitors". A match inside the client’s own name is skipped, so Best Harbor Paints can say its name with "best" on the list.

If a fix failsThe piece is kept, with a note

You see a note on the piece and a warning when you send for approval. Only you know what a fair replacement is.

5

It Can’t Quietly Make Things Up

Sounding like a client is half of it. The rest is only saying what is true of them.

Business FactsFive boxes, used on every post for that client

A figure the source doesn’t hold is taken out before you read the draft, and your team still reads every one.

The quote checkA quote nobody said gets caught

A quote nobody said doesn’t hold up the piece. It waits under Quotes to Confirm when the run is done. Say yes, it was said, or change the words.

Each Format Is Written as Itself

A newsletter is not a shortened blog post with a greeting on it. Each format has its own written rules.

LinkedIn Company PostIts own length, hashtags, and close

One spec a formatLength, hashtags, the close, and conventions

All 18 formats are written to one spec each, kept in one place. A close has to be something the reader can do with what the piece already gave them. Links nobody supplied are not invented.

The Client’s Yes Is Half the Job

Approval weighs the same as creating. A draft that sounds right and sits in an inbox for a week has not worked.

Who Must Approve

Client notesOne Click Fix changes only the part their note points to

In-line notes sit on the words. On Agency, One Click Fix applies a client’s note. Code compares it with the copy sentence by sentence and refuses a fix that changes any sentence outside the part the note points to, or, when the note doesn’t say where, more than a sentence or two. It also refuses one that adds a phrase from Things Never to Say or a figure from none of the material, or that comes back far longer or shorter. Every other sentence saved is the original. Nothing from a refused fix is saved. Revert puts it back. The check says where a fix reached, not whether its new words are right: your team still reads it.

Keep ThisTheir comment becomes a rule, if you say so

Press Keep This for Next Time on a client’s comment, edit the words, and new writing uses it. It remembers who said it, on which post, and when. Nothing is learned from a comment unless you press the button, and no client sees it was kept.
